Wit’s End will return with one of the hottest jazz acts around: The Hot Sardines. The date is Saturday, Jan. 26. The place is Flute Midtown, 205 W. 54th Street (at Broadway).
The Hot Sardines tore up the place for us the last time they were with us. Our theme this month is our 2nd annual tribute to Texas Guinan, the legendary Roaring Twenties speakeasy proprietor and performer. We are also honored that Flute Midtown is actually in the same exact spot as one of her notorious speaks of the era, Club Intime.
We will of course have Prohibition era cocktails and free dance lessons at 8:30. The doors open at 7.
Jacket and tie, vintage or vintage-inspired, Jazz Age, evening wear, cocktail attire and of course, seasonal! 1920s, 30s and 40s vintage is encouraged!
Just $12 at the door or online via TicketWeb.
Table reservations are available and encouraged; telephone Flute Midtown reservation line at 212.265.5169 to reserve a table.
